Spotkania nazywają się Sokrates Cafe i organizowane są przez Trójmiejską Akcję Filozoficzną. Aby informacje na ten temat były pełne, poprosiłem Michała Mallka (Jednego z organizatorów) aby napisał kilka zdań o tym czym się zajmują.

„Co robią studenci Politechniki Gdańskiej po godzinach? Myślę, że jest naprawdę wiele odpowiedzi na to pytanie. Dzisiaj chciałbym przedstawić Wam jedną z nich.
Dwa lata temu założyliśmy klub dyskusyjny w ramach Trójmiejskiej Akcji Filozoficznej (zwanej dalej TAF-em). Podczas pierwszych debat – zmienialiśmy miejsce wydarzenia i sami wybieraliśmy dyskutowane tematy, wspierając je prowadzonymi przez nas wykładami. Następuje rozmowa prowadzona w duchu Sokratesa Ateńczyka. Pełna dociekań, nowych problemów i nierzadko dość rubasznego humoru. A przede wszystkim – pełna przystępności i otwartości na „zwykłego człowieka”. Uczestnicy muszą powściągnąć swą manierę korzystania z dziwnych słów i dzieł kultury. Nie szukamy również rozwiązań ostatecznych, nie formułujemy wniosków. Dobre spotkanie to takie, z którego wychodzimy z większą ilością pytań niż odpowiedzi.
