RELACJA Z III ZEBRANIA STUDENCKIEGO KLUBU eSKA PRZY GDAŃSKIM ODDZIALE SARP
W piątek 18 stycznia 2013 roku o 16:30 odbyło się trzecie z kolei, a pierwsze w siedzibie gdańskiego oddziału SARPu – Dworze Bractwa św. Jerzego, spotkanie Studenckiego Klubu Architektury.
Rozpoczęte zostało przez prezesa SARP Oddział Wybrzeże, arch. Stefana Ciecholewskiego oraz wiceprezes do spraw twórczości, dr hab. inż. arch. Marię Jolantę Sołtysik. Powitali oni zgromadzone osoby oraz przedstawili w skrócie program spotkania poświęconego pomysłowi zaprojektowania nowego gmachu opery gdańskiej.
Najpierw wystąpił dr inż. arch. Andrzej Prusiewicz z wykładem „Jak projektować teatr”, przedstawiając studentom ogólne wytyczne i zasady na przykładzie dyplomu stud. arch. Tomasza Kobieli oraz prezentując realizacje z Polski i zagranicy.
Następnie głos zabrał Zastępca Przewodniczącego Pomorskiej Okręgowej Rady Izby Architektów, dr inż. arch. Bartosz Macikowski, witając obecnych oraz zachęcając do podejmowania inicjatyw studenckich.
Ponownie wystąpiła dr hab. inż. arch. Maria Jolanta Sołtysik, informując studentów o konkursie na budynek nowej opery, a arch. Izabela Burda, członek Zarządu SARPu wraz z mgr inż. arch. Januszem Gujskim, członkiem Pomorskiej Okręgowej Rady Izby Architektów, uzupełnili wypowiedź o przedstawienie trzech wybranych na realizację ww. obiektu lokalizacji w Gdańsku: Młode miasto na zakończeniu Drogi do Wolności, Młode miasto Basen oraz Polski Hak. Materiały zostały przekazane studentowi architektury Michałowi Kurce w celu przeanalizowania przez zespoły konkursowe.
Pod koniec spotkania wystąpiło dwoje studentów wydziału architektury : Agnieszka Jeleniewska i Alan Klingiert (?), przedstawiając alternatywną propozycję rewitalizacji terenów stoczniowych w Gdyni w okolicach ul. Jerzego Waszyńskiego na centrum kulturalne dla młodzieży.
Spotkanie podsumowała dr hab. inż. arch. Maria Jolanta Sołtysik. Na zakończenie studentka architektury Katarzyna Stankiewicz wykonała pamiątkowe zdjęcie, uwieczniając gospodarzy spotkania, prowadzących oraz 37 studentów Wydziału Architektury Politechniki Gdańskiej.

The film debuted to a paltry $40 million at the domestic box office, good enough for the weekend’s top spot,

Amid the early returns, a number of fans took up for the movie and its cinematic depth, in breaking away from the cookie cutter nature of sequels to introduce a musical element not present in the first film,
with Lady Gaga joining the franchise.
‘Joker 2 was amazing,’ one user said, adding that it was ’100% as divisive as people are making it out to be.
I love that the film didn’t try to be a traditional sequel,
and fully committed to the storytelling they presented.

The partner of the ex-CEO of the Abercrombie and Fitch clothing line
pleaded not guilty Tuesday in US federal court to charges of sex trafficking and interstate prostitution and was released on $10 million bond.
Briton Matthew Smith, the ex-CEO Mike Jeffries and their fixer
James Jacobson allegedly used a „casting couch” ploy to
groom aspiring male models to attend sex parties at which
victims were plied with alcohol and drugs.
After his arrest in October in Florida with Jeffries, Smith was held in custody in New York.
Smith appeared in court Tuesday in Central Islip on Long Island, to the east
of New York City.
Smith pleaded not guilty and was released on a $10 million bond put up by
Jeffries and his family, said a statement from the US attorney’s office for the eastern district of New York.
An AFP photographer saw Smith leave the courthouse with what appeared to be a large
electronic surveillance bracelet attached to his ankle.

Another hearing is scheduled for December 10 for Smith, Jeffries and Jacobson.
Jeffries, 80, was released on a $10 million bond in late October.
Jeffries, who served as CEO of Abercrombie and Fitch from 1992
to 2014, is accused of creating and maintaining a ring that recruited young men to have sex with him and Smith.
Prosecutors allege that between December 2008 and March 2015 Jeffries,
Smith and Jacobson used a combination of „force, fraud and coercion”
to traffic men in a sprawling prostitution enterprise.
Charging documents detail 15 anonymous victims, but prosecutors suggest the scale was probably much larger and have appealed for witnesses and victims to come forward.
Prosecutors say young men were taken to the New York home of Jeffries and Smith and to hotels in Britain, France,
Italy, Morocco to have sex with them.
Jeffries faces the prospect of life in prison if convicted.
Jacobson also pleaded not guilty to the same charges
as the other defendants and was released on half a million dollars bond in October.

LUXEMBOURG, Oct 7 (Reuters) – Germany’s economic model
is not broken but Europe’s biggest economy has lost competitiveness over the past decade, German Finance Minister Christian Lindner said on Monday.
„We can’t be satisfied with the economic developments in Germany,” he
told journalists ahead of a Eurogroup meeting.
The German economy is expected to contract by 0.2% in 2024,
an economy ministry spokesperson said on Monday, cutting the
forecast from a previous projection of 0.3% growth this year.
If realised, this would be the second consecutive year of contraction for Germany’s economy,
which was the weakest among its large euro zone peers last year with
a 0.3% decline in gross domestic product.
Lindner said the government was introducing supply-side measures to
try to return the economy to growth.
„After these reforms, Germany will have more competitiveness again,” Lindner said, adding that
the growth initiative was just a first step for
an economic turnaround, „but we have to build on it.”
AMBITION NEEDED
Lindner said „ambition” was needed to keep EU public finances in order, or to put them back in order where necessary.
„I can only encourage everyone to implement structural reforms and to make unpopular decisions,” Lindner said.
„What seems to be unpopular at the moment is the willingness to take responsibility for the next generation and for the stability of the European Union as a whole.”
Lindner said he could not comment on the French budget plans because he had not
had the chance to talk with his French colleagues yet, but
he would do so on Monday evening.
„We should all realise that the credibility of public finances vis-à-vis the capital markets is not to be trifled with,” Lindner said.
„We must credibly reduce our deficits and our debt so that we can continue to finance ourselves well and in a stable manner.”

wining and dining the nation’s political elite in ultra-exclusive VIP lounges was relatively unknown.
It was a time before Alan Joyce’s tenure as the
CEO of Qantas had even started, when he was boss of the comparatively lowly budget airline, Jetstar.
And unlike Anthony Albanese’s current slide in the polls leading up to an election in next year, the prospects back in 2007 were rosy for Labor.
The election that was looming was the ‘Kevin 07′
landslide that would see Kevin Rudd become prime minister and
John Howard lose his own seat.
The issue which blew open the ‘guilty secret’ of
the Chairman’s Lounge then wasn’t about a prime minister’s privileges, although John Howard and Kevin Rudd were certainly both members during their terms as PM.
But when broadcaster Steve Price – himself a long time Chairman’s Lounge member
- revealed a politically charged remark made within the club’s hallowed walls, the cat was out of the
bag.
The political revelation – a comment by ex-rock star turned senator
Peter Garrett that Labor would change the policies it
campaigned on if it won government – did not deter his party from romping in on election day.
In contrast, the scandal currently engulfing Anthony Albanese about
his Chairman’s Lounge membership and that of his ex-wife Carmel Tebbutt, and their son Nathan could bring down the
prime minister.

‘As its name implies, the people given access to
it are approved by the Qantas chairman, Margaret Jackson.
‘I have been a Chairman’s Lounge member since 2002.’
In his opinion piece, Price also revealed TV entertainment reporter Richard Wilkins was also a member
of lounge.
Wilkins had also been inside at the time and was his only witness to the remark Price said Garrett had made.
Other prominent media figures, such as 60 Minutes reporters, actors
and performers, and well-known writers and sports people are said to be among the lounge’s exclusive
membership of around 6000.
Price went on to defend himself for reporting what some claimed was
a confidential conversation in a private place,
but which exposed him to criticism over his own membership for allegedly promoting Qantas on his radio
show.

The existence of an exclusive hideaway for the country’s movers and shakers where
secret deals were done in private luxury first exploded
into the public eye back in 2007.
Back then, the fact that Qantas spent hundreds of thousands of dollars wining and dining the nation’s political
elite in ultra-exclusive VIP lounges was relatively unknown.
It was a time before Alan Joyce’s tenure as the CEO of Qantas had even started,
when he was boss of the comparatively lowly budget airline, Jetstar.
And unlike Anthony Albanese’s current slide in the polls leading up to an election in next year,
the prospects back in 2007 were rosy for Labor.
The election that was looming was the ‘Kevin 07′ landslide that
would see Kevin Rudd become prime minister and John Howard lose
his own seat.
The issue which blew open the ‘guilty secret’ of the Chairman’s Lounge then wasn’t about a prime minister’s privileges,
although John Howard and Kevin Rudd were certainly both members during their
terms as PM.
But when broadcaster Steve Price – himself a long time Chairman’s Lounge
member – revealed a politically charged remark made within the club’s hallowed walls, the cat was out of the bag.
The political revelation – a comment by ex-rock star turned senator Peter Garrett that Labor would change
the policies it campaigned on if it won government – did not deter his party from romping in on election day.

‘I have been a Chairman’s Lounge member since 2002.’
In his opinion piece, Price also revealed TV entertainment reporter
Richard Wilkins was also a member of lounge.
Wilkins had also been inside at the time and was his only witness to
the remark Price said Garrett had made.
Other prominent media figures, such as 60 Minutes reporters, actors and performers, and well-known writers
and sports people are said to be among the lounge’s exclusive
membership of around 6000.
Price went on to defend himself for reporting what
some claimed was a confidential conversation in a private place,
but which exposed him to criticism over his own membership
for allegedly promoting Qantas on his radio show.
